Locals stage daring rescue of bull trapped in well
Locals staged a daring rescue attempt after a bull fell in a well - using ropes to winch the animal to safety.
Footage shows men climbing down to save the stricken animal, which got into trouble in India last week (March 15).
They then attach ropes to a winch and left the bull out - who appeared unharmed, according to reports.
The bull is said to have been rampaging through the area and fighting with cows before falling headfirst into the well.
Well owner Hemant Patail and his neighbours then called for a crane to lift the bull out after locals noticed the distressed animal.
A local said: "The animal was stationary for a good period of time while ropes were being tied to it."
"But [it] later started to throw itself around and panic a bit in the water."
"After a lot of hard work, the bull was picked up from the well with the help of the crane. "
"A huge crowd had gathered in the place of the well. "
"It was learnt that the rescue operation was conducted by residents of the ward itself."
The terrified animal - which had been trapped for two-and-a-half hours - calmed down after being lifted to safety and was seen slowly walking away from the scene in Madhya Pradesh.
