Dozens of pet huskies escaped from a dog cafe and ran through a shopping mall when a guest accidentally left the door open.

The pooches were recorded on video as they charged across the floor of the building in Shenzhen Guangdong, China, on March 12.

Customers froze as the excited pups darted between stores - appearing to have the time of their lives during the rare taste of freedom.

In one video, a man in a white T-shirt was seen chasing after them as they frantically ran barking with excitement, causing the woman recording the clip to burst out laughing.

While his yelling attracted the attention of some of the dogs, the rest of the group continued having fun. Another clip shows an even bigger number of huskies raiding the food floor.

They were all eventually caught and taken back, according to local media.

Staff at the dog cafe that houses the huskies later explained that the owner came to inspect the store, and the dogs were quite excited.

At the same time, a guest opened the door and did not close it properly, resulting in the dogs escaping.

Most of them were successfully retrieved by the trainers but a few disobedient ones had to be lured back with chicken legs.

Despite the commotion it caused, staff said the incident did not affect the business's operation.

Huskies are medium-sized working dogs known for their strength, endurance, and striking appearance.

Originating in Siberia, they are well-adapted to cold climates with their thick double coat, erect triangular ears, and distinctive mask-like facial markings.

Huskies are highly energetic, intelligent, and independent, often used as sledgedogs due to their remarkable stamina and pulling power.

They are also known for their friendly and gentle nature, making them popular companions and family pets.
