A sudden explosion rocked a street-side restaurant in eastern China, injuring 2.

The video was filmed in Huai'an City in Jiangsu Province on March 16. Massive flames burst from a first-floor window with billowing smoke, and the explosion's powerful impact shattered doors and windows along the street, littering the pavement with debris. Some individuals managed to escape, albeit with burnt clothing and skin injuries.

Eyewitnesses reported that even nearby manhole covers were blown off. Local firefighting teams rushed to the scene, extinguishing the flames approximately half an hour later.

Two individuals were injured, with one sustaining minor injuries. Both have been promptly transported to the hospital for treatment and are not in life-threatening condition.

The specific cause of the accident is currently under further investigation.

16日晚些时候，淮安市淮安区应急管理局发布了情况通报：2024年3月16日16时20分左右，淮安市淮安区老表中餐厅发生燃爆，2人受伤，其中一人轻微伤，伤者已第一时间送往医院救治，均无生命危险。目前事故具体原因正在进一步调查中。
