The Chinese government is working to promote economic growth in a sustainable fashion, a Spanish expert has said.

SOUNDBITE 1 (Spanish): PEDRO NUENO, Professor at IESE Business School
"The (Chinese) government is working to ensure good economic growth, while trying to manage business sectors so as to avoid companies achieving growth simply through accumulating more and more debt, which is something the government does not want.
They are not focusing only on markets with extraordinary growth, but all types of markets, and this is what the government is stimulating. In the long run, it will be a good thing for all companies because it's best that profit will be well-distributed across the country."
The professor added that business expansion of Chinese companies overseas also benefits both China and European countries.
SOUNDBITE 2 (Spanish): PEDRO NUENO, Professor at IESE Business School
"China can help us because if its companies invest in Europe then we will have less unemployment. And we also have companies with great potential. If they participate in the Chinese market as well as the U.S. and European markets, they will gain greater solidity."
Xinhua News Agency correspondents reporting from Barcelona, Spain.
