On March 13, 2024, in Chongqing Fudan Secondary School, two orange cats were caught on video lurking behind two pigeons on the campus, plotting their ambush.

While the former orange cat carefully hid on the side of a step and moved forward slightly, his partner behind him looked a little overwhelmed with mimicry.

When the previous cat finally saw the right moment to charge at the two pigeons, his partner behind gave him an ill-timed tug. The two pigeons take the chance to fly away gracefully, leaving the two cats to stare at each other awkwardly in place.

Chinese netizens were amused by the scene. According to the filmer, the two cats are often fed by students on campus, resulting in a chubby build, so while in love with catching birds, they've never been seen to succeed.
