Two people have been injured on Monday, March 18, after falling into a ten-meter deep well in a rural area of Corbera (Ribera Baixa). Everything points to the fact that the hole was semi-covered and the ground gave way under the weight. The two injured, a 37-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman, were conscious when the firefighters arrived to rescue them.

The well was located near the CV-508 road, according to the Valencia Provincial Fire Consortium. At around 2:30 p.m., the provincial body received the call and rescuers from the GERA —in a V-990 helicopter and accompanied by a doctor— were mobilized to the scene of the accident. They descended to where the injured were to provide them with the first medical attention. Outside, several firefighters from Cullera and sergeants from Gandia and Alzira were also waiting for them.

Subsequently, they were pulled out of the well and immobilized safely. The two individuals had multiple injuries and were transferred to the Hospital de la Ribera.
