The event, which took place on March 14, 2024, saw Sgt. Gonzalez jumping out of a C-130 aircraft onto Juliet Drop Zone in Pordenone, Italy.
The 173rd Airborne Brigade is renowned as the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to various areas of responsibility including the United States European, African, and Central Command. With bases in Italy and Germany, the brigade frequently collaborates with NATO allies and partners to enhance partnerships and fortify the alliance.
