An elderly man turned an aggressive rooster into soup after its attack on his granddaughter in southern China.

The video was filmed in Bazhong City in Sichuan Province on March 12.

The girl was seen hitting against the railing before collapsing in tears.

The rooster didn't relent, continuing to claw at the girl's head and body until her grandmother intervened with a broom to shoo it away.

Outraged by the incident, the girl's grandfather deemed the rooster unfit for their home and decided to take matters into his own hands. He slaughtered the offending fowl, plucked its feathers, stewed it, and served the resulting chicken soup to his granddaughter as a form of retribution.
