Cat Stares at Parrot in Owner's Hand in Wuhan, China

On January 5, 2024, in Wuhan, Hubei, a video captured a tense moment between two critters, a cat and parrot, who were both raised in a dormitory.
As the owner placed the parrot in her hand, the kitten peeked out across a shelf with an obviously up-to-no-good expression as it stared intently at the bird, which was considered food to it.
The owner commented, "The two are usually kept apart, with the bird nestled in my shirt when they have to be together." The bird has now been taken back to the owner's home to live a safe life away from the cat.
