STORYLINE:
The annual Festival of Lights in Zagreb kicked off on Wednesday evening, drawing thousands of people to see visual installations and light art throughout the city's streets, parks and squares.
During the festival, which runs until Sunday, Croatian and international artists will use the latest projection technologies to transform ordinary spaces into captivating works of art.

"I am happy that the new edition of the festival starts on the first day of spring when nature is awakening, when the city is shed by a new light, and when citizens come out into the streets to see beautiful squares and architectural buildings in a new light, so they can enjoy the city differently."
Organized by the Zagreb Tourist Board, the festival boasts 29 attractions across the capital.
