STORYLINE:
The Keukenhof park opened its doors to the public on Thursday in Lisse, the Netherlands, also celebrating its 75th anniversary with millions of beautiful flowers and colorful performances.
The park first opened its doors in 1950 and has since developed into a popular destination for tourists from home and abroad.
Covering an area of 32 hectares, the Keukenhof park holds its famous flower exhibition from March to May every year.
This year it will be open for about eight weeks, with more than 7 million bulb flowers showcasing over 1,600 varieties, including more than 800 varieties of tulips.
The organizers are expecting 1.4 million visitors from around the world.
