This adorable one-year-old chef-to-be was recorded as he helped his dad prepare a meal behind their food stall, skillfully mimicking his actions as he mixed the ingredients.

The endearing father-son duo was captured on video at a night market in Zunyi, the commercial hub of Guizhou, China.

In the video, the 14-month-old toddler in a yellow onesie with a baby bottle strapped on his side could be seen standing on a plastic stool next to his father, helping him prepare stir-fried rice in his own work.

As the boy held onto the wok with one arm, he grasped a ladle with the other, apparently beating the eggs as the recipe required.

Dad then added seasonings to the boy's cookware and showed him how to mix the ingredients by shaking the wok as a skilled chef.

The one-year-old obediently followed his moves, wobbling in place in a bid to repeat the mastery.

His mum said: 'He doesn't like toys, he prefers helping out and doing chores.'
