This astonishing video shows a newly trained group of Russian soldiers heading to the frontlines.

Russia's Ministry of Defence stated that a new group of soldiers specialised in operating FPVs (first person view) drones were sent to the battlefield in Donetsk, in eastern Ukraine, on March 20.

The ministry said: 'Throughout the training, the servicemen regularly practised and honed their skills in piloting FPV-format unmanned aerial vehicles.

'Each instructor in the unit is a professional in their field, enabling them to accurately and effectively convey information to each trainee.'

Senior instructor Rokot added: 'In general, today's sessions showed positive dynamics. People learn quickly, you can see the interest, eagerness, and desire to learn something new in their eyes, to be useful for our common cause.'

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.

The conflict is still ongoing with public support from Europe and the United States fading and businesses reopening their ties with Russia.

Deserters have fled both countries for safer climbs in Europe and Asia.
