STORYLINE:
The Dialogue between Chinese and Australian Women Artists kicked off on Thursday in Sydney, Australia.
The exhibition invites five Chinese and Australian female artists with different cultural backgrounds and artistic styles to engage in dialogue to illustrate their thoughts about history and culture.
SOUNDBITE 1 (English): NICHOLAS TSOUTAS, Curator
"The title of the exhibition is called 'Flow.' Flow is about the movement of ideas. If you look at all the works, it's about how do we move ideas, how do we exchange knowledge with each other, how do ideas flow from me to you and you back to me, which is the whole idea of cultural exchange. The exchange flows in two directions or sometimes in multiple directions. And this is what generated the idea of this exhibition."
SOUNDBITE 2 (English): PEGGY, Visitor
"What we are looking at is women of contemporary artists. They are being given a focus and a purpose, and bring it up in the contemporary sense. It's a really fantastic exhibition. You should come and see it."
Organized by the China Cultural Center Sydney, the exhibition will run until April 5.
