Tiger scratches its back on tree branch
This is the amusing moment a tiger was seen scratching its back on a tree branch.
The zookeeper saw the tiger enjoying the sun at Shou Shan Zoo in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on March 12.
Footage shows the big cat rolling on the grass and rubbing against the tree branch.
It even lied on its back while playing the bushes above him.
The keeper said: 'It always enjoys basking in the sun and loves to roll around on the ground.'
Tigers often lounge in sunny spots, especially during cooler times of the day.
Basking in the sun helps them regulate their body temperature and stay warm. They also roll to groom themselves to their fur, removes loose hair, and spreads natural oils throughout their coat, keeping it healthy and waterproof.
