This is the nerve-wracking moment snake catchers removed a huge python that was hiding under the dirt.

Chalermchai Muangsalee witnessed the animal rescue team extracting the python concealed in the dirt in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 10.

Footage shows the team clearing away debris and soil to locate the snake.

Moments later, they spotted its head and used a long tong to grasp it.

The reptile coiled around the tong's pole as the officials walked to safely transfer it into a sack.

They successfully caught the snake, and it will be released in the wild away from residential areas.

Pythons are non-venomous snakes. Their diets consist of birds, mammals, other reptiles, and humans.
