A dedicated citizen associated with the Riposte Alimentaire campaign disrupted the closing ceremony of the Series Mania Festival in Lille around 9 p.m., dedicated to television series from around the world. Louane lit a smoke bomb on stage, sporting a "Riposte Alimentaire" t-shirt. She shouted into the microphone, "Our agricultural system condemns us," before being escorted off stage. The Riposte Alimentaire campaign is calling for the establishment of a Social Security for Sustainable Food.
This smoke bomb is a distress flare, signaling an alert. Scientific reports are piling up without concrete actions being taken to prevent a social and ecological collapse.
