Missile strike cripples Dnieper Hydroelectric Station in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine
A video circulating online captured a missile attack on the Dnieper Hydroelectric Station (DneproGES) in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine on March 22, 2024. The footage shows a missile and a subsequent explosion, with the videographer taking cover. Reports indicate the attack involved X-101 cruise missiles and left the power station in critical condition. Two direct hits caused significant damage to electrical equipment and the turbine room, requiring extensive repairs. While HPP-1 also sustained damage, authorities assure there is no threat of a dam breach.
