A Polish sex guru was arrested for holding seedy 'tantric yoga' workshops on a Thai island.

Yoga instructor Michal Grygoruk, 46, was allegedly holding erotic sex lessons for both singles and couples at the Tantra Movement School on Koh Pha Ngan island in Surat Thani province.

Police descended on the school on Saturday, March 23 after receiving a complaint accusing the Polish man of alleged sexual misconduct.

Officers raided the building and found several foreigners, apparently in the middle of a yoga class, who tried to flee upon seeing police arrive at the scene.

Michal later appeared and identified himself as the instructor.

He claimed that the yoga school offered clients various three-day courses ranging from 400 to 600 USD. Upon receiving payment, he would then e-mail the school's location and schedule the sessions, usually during weekends.

Authorities inspected the building and also found two dildo-like objects which were confiscated along with several invoices.
Michal had claimed the phallic devices were 'yoga training equipment'.

Police have detained him for allegedly working in Thailand without a permit.

District police chief Noppadon Khaomali said: 'There have been complaints that there were foreigners teaching yoga at the risk of being sexually obscene.

'The place was called Tantra Movement located at a house on the island. Therefore, we went to the area to inspect the said location.'

The officer added that Michal was detained at the Koh Pha Ngan Police Station and charged with 'working without a work permit'. Tourist police have also recommended to revoke his visa.

The arrests come amid a wider crackdown on foreigners behaving badly in the Southeast Asian country, that was sparked earlier this month by the arrest of Swiss businessman Urs Beat Fehr, 45, for kicking a Thai doctor who was sitting on his beachfront garden steps in Phuket.
