A cheeky pet tortoise was caught on camera making off with a family's clothes rack.

Footage shows the African-spurred sulcata named Khum Sap dragging the steel structure with wheels forward through the garage in Chiang Mai province, Thailand on March 19.

The other tortoise named Khum Ngoen then was also crawling nearby and their owner Suppasri Nunsomboon said the playful animals would take turns moving the rack around.

Suppasri said: ‘When they see the clothesline, they would come and move it. I think it was because they loved to use it to scratch their backs.

‘When they are with people, they like it when their shell is rubbed.'
