A cat assisted a pet store worker during packing in southern China.

The video was filmed in Chongqing on March 16. A 5-year-old American Shorthair cat named Huzi was seen helping a woman cut tape while she packed for a customer.

The woman remarked, "These teeth work as well as scissors!"

Chinese netizens humorously suggested, "Time to pay the cat a wage."

According to the pet store staff member, she was packing for a customer when Huzi unexpectedly bit the tape to help, without being ordered to do so.

Huzi had previously caused mischief by damaging some goods valued at hundreds of pounds, but the staff joked that it was working to pay off its debts.

The staff member also mentioned that the cat has only bitten once, so people should not worry too much about its safety.
