In a daring rescue mission on March 24th morning, emergency responders sprang into action to aid an injured hiker on the treacherous terrain of Mission Peak Trail. The incident unfolded as heavy rains had transformed the trail into a muddy and perilous path, presenting significant challenges for rescue efforts.

Responding to the distress call, H-30, in collaboration with Fremont Fire and Falck Ambulance, mobilized swiftly to reach the stranded hiker. However, accessing the injured individual proved to be a formidable task for Fremont Fire crews due to the hazardous conditions on the trail.

Undeterred by the adversity, Fremont Fire Battalion 5 deployed a drone to scout the area and successfully pinpointed the location of the injured hiker, who was stranded on a steep and muddy section of the trail. Utilizing GPS coordinates provided by Batt 5, H-30, with additional support from E-55, orchestrated a daring hoist operation to extricate the hiker from the precarious terrain.

With precision and skill, the rescue team swiftly lifted the injured hiker from the trail and lowered her to safety. Once on solid ground, the patient was promptly transferred to a waiting ambulance, where she received immediate medical attention. Despite sustaining minor injuries, the hiker was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
