Man in Ukraine attacks recruiters with axe to save young man from summons
In a dramatic incident on March 8, 2024, a man in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, intervened to prevent a young man from being served a military summons. According to reports, military commissars stopped a local resident riding a horse when a man in a Niva car approached. He allegedly knocked down one of the recruiters before exiting his vehicle with an axe. In an attempt to defend the young man, the attacker struck the recruiters with the axe and smashed the window of their car.
