A worker jumped out of a window to escape a burning factory in southern China.

Dramatic video filmed in Jieyang City in Guangdong Province on March 26, shows massive flames engulfing a building, with thick black smoke billowing into the air.

Terrifyingly, a person was seen leaping from the window in desperate attempts to escape the blaze.

The Jieyang Fire Rescue Brigade swiftly responded to the emergency. According to reports, the distress call came in at 11:42 am local time. Firefighters rushed to the scene, battling the inferno.

Thankfully, the blaze has now been brought under control.

Authorities have confirmed that two individuals sustained injuries in the fire and have been hospitalised, fortunately without life-threatening conditions. Tragically, two others were reported missing during the chaos.

However, in a recent update, the Jieyang Fire Department announced that both missing persons have been located. Regrettably, one was found deceased.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are currently underway.

2024年3月26日11时42分，揭阳市消防救援支队指挥中心接到报警，榕城区溪南街道龙飞村一厂房发生火灾。接警后，市消防救援支队立即赶赴现场扑救。目前，明火已被扑灭。两名受伤人员已送医院救治(无生命危险)，仍有两名人员失联，市消防救援支队正在搜救。起火原因正在调查中。
3月26日18时24分，揭阳消防发布警情续报，厂房火灾中两名失联人员均已找到，1人平安，1人不幸遇难。
