SOUNDBITE 1 (English): YONAS AKELE, Teacher at Ethiopian Luban Workshop
"Sometimes, I'm working with the Luan Workshop in Ethiopia. It's very necessary. Most of the students are working with or practicing within the Luban Workshop. That's very necessary and also important in our industry."

Over the years, the Luban Workshop has become a symbol of China's commitment to sharing its advanced vocational education expertise with Africa with more than a dozen similar institutions opened across the continent.

To help African countries improve their medical services, China has dispatched medical personnel and provided medical aid to African countries for decades.

In collaboration with the Comoros Anti-Malaria Center, the China Malaria Prevention and Control Project Team in the Comoros has led malaria prevention efforts and related training since 2007.

By 2017, experts from both nations had reduced malaria incidence in the Comoros by over 99 percent, effectively eradicating malaria-related fatalities.

SOUNDBITE 2 (French): KAMAL SAID ABDALLAH, Laboratory director of the Comoros National Malaria Control Center
"I started working with the Chinese in 2012. And then it was in 2016 that I became a member of the Chinese anti-malaria team in the Comoros. And then in 2018, I went back to China. And then from then on, I often went to China for training. Most of the training we've received was training for malaria elimination. We took China's expertise and experience for malaria elimination."
