This astonishing video shows a man struggling to close the roller shutter door of a grocery store as a powerful hailstorm blows it wide open.

CCTV footage captured in the city of Yiwu, in Zhejiang, China, shows the employee approaching the shutter door of the Fresh Food Supermarket store on the afternoon of March 25.

However, just seconds later, the door unexpectedly flew open as a result of the powerful winds, leading to all the boxes positioned outside being swept back in.

The staff member can be seen standing next to the door and struggling to contain the situation for a while, before finally managing to close it.

The owner of the store Mr He said: 'We are the headquarters ofFresh Food Supermarket.

'On the afternoon of March 25, the front door, back door, and side door of our store on Geshan North Road were blown by strong winds.

'Fortunately, no casualties were caused.'

He explained that three more glass doors were damaged at the time, as a result of the storm. The store reportedly suffered CNY 30,000 (GBP 3,289)damage overall.

The owner said that the wind reached Force 7 on the Beaufort scale, with wind speeds ranging between 28-33 knots (32-38 miles per hour) at its peak.
