This is the chilling moment a poltergeist appears to hurl a baby from the sofa.

The baby girl was lying on the couch with her brother in their living room when she suddenly fell onto the floor in Chanthaburi, Thailand, on February 15.

CCTV footage shows the toddler moving from her side when she suddenly toppled to the ground as if an entity pulled her down - like a scene from a horror movie.

She cried out loud due to the strong impact and her mum rushed into the room to check on her. She was not hurt in the unexplained fall.

The mum said: 'I was confused when I saw the CCTV footage. She didn't fall on her own. It seemed like someone had pulled her down to the floor. It is creepy.'

According to Jeff Patton, a paranormal investigator, poltergeists tend to be physically violent against individuals. They have been known to cause scratches, bites, punches, bruises, and even strangulation injuries to their victims.
