On March 26th, in Yiyang, southern China, a shocking scene unfolded as a child became trapped on the anti-theft window grille outside a third-floor window. Half of the child's body dangled precariously, with their feet kicking in desperation. Two individuals by the window had already grabbed the child, attempting a rescue while several residents below held up a blanket for protection.

One of the rescuers, Mr. Yan Shuangwu, recounted that he was working at an auto maintenance center when he heard loud noises outside. Upon investigation, he saw the child trapped on the anti-theft window grille, with concerned neighbors holding up a blanket to prevent a potential fall. Despite their efforts, two individuals were unable to pull the child up.

Mr. Yan explained that the child's chest was stuck on the window grille, making it difficult for the rescuers to lift him without risking further injury. Concerned about the weight-bearing capacity of the grille, Mr. Yan and his colleagues rushed upstairs with a grinding machine from their shop. They managed to cut through the grille and safely rescue the child.

According to Mr. Liu, a resident in the same community, the incident occurred around 11:00 PM when the child's family was out. Upon discovering the child trapped, neighbors sought help from the landlord and used a blanket for safety. With joint efforts, they successfully rescued the child.

The child, around four years old, was fortunately unharmed thanks to the timely rescue. The family arrived back shortly after the incident.
