The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) has issued a critical safety advisory ahead of the Easter break, urging caution following a harrowing incident on the Wirral coastline. Three women and their dogs found themselves in perilous waters after becoming stranded by the tide, prompting a swift response from West Kirby RNLI's volunteer lifeboat crew.

The rescue operation unfolded after the walkers, hailing from Merseyside and North Wales, were overtaken by rapidly rising waters near Little Eye Island. Immersed up to their shoulders, they faced imminent danger until the vigilant crew of West Kirby's inshore lifeboat intervened.

Christine Potter, one of the stranded individuals, recounted the ordeal, highlighting the unpredictability of tidal movements despite prior precautions. She expressed gratitude for the RNLI's prompt and compassionate response, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and vigilance along the coast.
