Seattle Police Deploy Terminator Device in Broadview Neighborhood in Seattle, USA
This footage was filmed and produced 16 March 2024.
Seattle police took swift action on March 16 in the Broadview neighborhood, apprehending two individuals in connection with a stolen SUV after receiving reports of a person slumped over in a vehicle lacking license plates.
Responding to the scene near Second Avenue Northwest and Northwest 115th Street around 11:30 a.m., officers discovered a 43-year-old man unconscious at the wheel of the vehicle. Suspecting foul play, officers swiftly deployed Terminator devices beneath the SUV's tires and called for backup, confirming the vehicle as stolen shortly thereafter.
Upon awakening, the driver fled, driving over the tire deflation devices despite police warnings. Despite efforts to evade capture, the driver's journey was hampered by flat tires, culminating in his arrest at the dead-end of Fourth Avenue Northwest following a brief foot pursuit.
A female passenger accompanying the driver was also taken into custody, with drug paraphernalia discovered in the vehicle. The driver faces charges including attempting to elude, possession of a stolen vehicle, and driving under the influence, while the passenger was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle due to a felony warrant.
