The annual multinational military exercise Cobra Gold was held successfully in Thailand this month.

Marines from various countries including the US, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia, participated in the joint drills in Rayong, Thailand.

Footage shows soldiers from the US, Thailand, and South Korea taking part in an amphibious assault drill at Hat Yao Beach in Rayong, Thailand on March 1.

On March 2, the US Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Mobile Unit 5, based out of US Naval Base Guam, and the Royal Thai Navy EOD, conducted static and free fall parachute operations.

Soldiers also participated in training activities that ranged from live fire drills to airborne operations and amphibious exercises.

This is the 43rd iteration of the Cobra Gold multinational military exercise, which ran from February 27 to March 8.

It is the largest joint exercise in mainland Asia aiming to demonstrate the strong alliance and strategic relationship between Thailand and the US.
