This is a reconstruction of Iron Age roundhouses at St Fagans National Museum of History near Cardiff, Wales. Bryn Eryr was a small Iron Age farmstead near Llansadwrn in the eastern corner of Anglesey. During the Bronze and Iron Ages in Britain, roundhouses were the most common form of home. These roundhouses are reconstructions based on the archaeology of the original houses, which were excavated by the Gwynedd Archaeological Trust between 1985 and 1987. St Fagans National Museum of History was founded in 1948 and is one of Europe’s leading open-air museums. The museum features over 40 original buildings from different historical periods, including houses, farms, and workshops. These buildings have been carefully reconstructed at the museum to provide a glimpse into Welsh life throughout the centuries. The museum also houses a vast collection of artifacts, tools, and objects that showcase various aspects of Welsh history and culture.
