Revellers descended onto Broad Street in Birmingham on Thursday 28 March evening into the early hours of Good Friday.

The partygoers took advantage of the Easter Bank Holiday with no work on Good Friday to let their hair down despite Storm Nelson still bringing strong winds and cold temperatures to the region.

Police had their hands full with one clubber after he failed to take heed of police advice to leave a woman alone who had collapsed.

Cops tackled him to the floor where he was cuffed.

As he was led to a police van he claimed he had hurt his leg, so officers carried him into the prison van whilst the suspect smiled with glee.

The woman was tended to by officers.

The nightclub Rosies was busy along with Snobs and Heidi's.

Those who braved the cold weather enjoyed their evening with some finishing the night off with a takeaway and others helped friends with a piggyback.

Venues are expecting a good weekends trade as the weather is expected to clear over Saturday.
