The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has issued a urgent call for action in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) as renewed fighting between the non-state armed group, March 23 Movement (M23), and the national army has led to the displacement of over 4 million people in the past two years.

The ongoing conflict in DR Congo has resulted in a severe humanitarian crisis, with millions of people forced to flee their homes and seek refuge in makeshift camps and host communities. The situation is exacerbated by the lack of access to basic necessities such as food, clean water, and healthcare, leaving the displaced population vulnerable and in urgent need of assistance.
