The Dongning Port, a border port in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, resumed customs clearance service on Friday after several months of shutdown.

The port was damaged by Typhoon Koinu last year, which triggered its suspension.

The road port has been a top choice for Chinese and Russian businessmen and tourists with its short clearance time and convenient customs clearance procedures. The customs accepts cross-border road electronic visa.

Over the past years, the number of customs clearance at the port has been above 200,000 each year.

The Dongning Port, along with the Dongning-Poltavka mutual trade zone, has been playing a significant role in promoting trade and cultural exchanges between China and Russia.
