"I love Fujian, China!"
16 college and high school students from the U.S. visited east China's Fujian Province this week.
During the two-day trip, they visited Wuyi Mountains and explored traditional Chinese tea culture.
SOUNDBITE 2 (English): JORIE LIANG, Catlin Gabel student
"Originally, everytime I came to China I would just like go to these monuments and mountains. I would go to a lot of them, but I wouldn't really understand the context behind them. But after making tea and visiting Wuyi Mountains, water and watching the performance yesterday, I feel a much deeper bond with this place. I didn't expect that I love Wuyi Mountains so much, but I think it's awesome and I am really glad to be here."
SOUNDBITE 3 (English): BAILEY BUDLONG, Oregon State University student
"We have had some really great cultural experiences. We were just doing a tea ceremony. So it's a very deep cultural heritage and that is very interesting to learn about. And so I think it would be really fun and it would give you a different perspective I think."
