On March 29th, a magnificent celestial phenomenon graced the skies over Alicante Alacant at precisely 21:30:08 UTC (22:30 CET), leaving witnesses in awe of its brilliance. Sensi Pastor and Jose A. de los Reyes captured the event from Cehegin, Murcia, documenting the extraordinary sight.
Jordi Donet, our colleague from Barx, Valencia, also captured the event in all its colorful splendor. The meteoric fireball, known as an enormous sporadic bolide, illuminated the night sky with flashes as bright as the moon, its radiant glow tracing back to the Leo constellation.
The spectacle of the meteor's final stretch suggested a mesmerizing disintegration, leaving spectators spellbound by the fleeting yet unforgettable display of celestial beauty.
As experts continue to analyze the data and footage captured by witnesses, the mystery surrounding the origins and nature of this remarkable event deepens.
