SUV on the highway emitting thick smoke from two exhaust pipes in Weifang, China
This footage was filmed and produced 10 March 2024.
The video shooter noticed an SUV on the highway emitting thick smoke from two exhaust pipes, similar to smoke from a bonfire. Soon, the smoke covered the entire sky.
This footage was filmed by Yuan Jian, in Weifang, Shandong, China, at 5:30pm, on March 10, 2024.
In the comments section, netizens are questioning the cause of the excessive smoke produced by the car. According to some, the smoke is a result of incomplete combustion caused by the mixing of oil into the fuel tank. However, others argue that burning oil produces blue smoke. The white smoke may be caused by a lack of water in the tank, which can lead to the high-temperature cylinder gasket burning and antifreeze entering the cylinder combustion. This causes the smoke to mix with hot gas and produce a large amount of water vapor.
