In a rare incident a Brave man overpowers leopard despite injuries in Rajasthan

Villagers in Dungarpur district on Sunday witnessed a show of bravery when he fought off a leopard . The journalist Gunwant Kalal who had gone to cover a story in the village caught the leopard by the jaw and overpowered him . The villagers at the spot manager to tie up the leopard with a rope before the forest department team arrived .
The incident occured in Gadiya Bhadar Metwala village near Bhadar forest area when a leopard was spotted hunting an animal near pond behind a house in village . Villagers gathered and informed the forest department while local journalist Gunwant Kalal came for coverage.
Gunwant tells when the villagers tried to scare away the leopard by throwing stones the agitated leopard attacked me , and bit my leg I fought back using my other leg to defend myself . When the leopard tried to bite my hand i grabbed it's neck and jaw and sat on its back , kalal adds that the encounter between me and leopard went on for 10 minutes and I was sitting on to the leopard for 7 minutes .
Witnessing kalal bravery villagers rushed to help and tied up the leopard with a rope unit the forest team arrived
