Skygazers in California witnessed a fiery object re-entering from space and breaking up as it streaks across the sky on early Tuesday, April 2.

Witnesses saw the object around 1:30 a.m. and many suspected it had something to do with the SpaceX Falcon 9 launch the previous evening. Some on social media said that it may be from the Chinese Shenzhou 15 Orbital Module that was predicted to re-enter near Los Angeles at 01:45 local time.

This is a developing story.
