Terrified swimmer sways in water as Taiwan earthquake rattles rooftop pool at hotel

On April 3rd, a 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Hualien County, Taiwan. The rooftop pool at the Jinghua Hotel in Taipei experienced intense shaking, causing a man who was swimming in the pool at the time to sway back and forth due to the earthquake's impact. The hotel stated that both guests and staff members were unharmed. However, due to ongoing aftershocks, the rooftop pool is temporarily closed.

According to Taiwan media reports, Taiwan fire department statistics, as of 4:30 p.m., the earthquake has caused 9 deaths, 821 injuries, 127 people trapped, the death and trapped to rescue events occurred in Hualien.
