In a dazzling display of celestial wonder, residents along the coast of Barcelona were treated to a breathtaking sight as a beautiful sporadic meteor streaked across the Mediterranean sky late last night.

The meteor, identified as SPMN010424K, made its grand entrance at 11:55 p.m. UTC (1:55 a.m. CET), captivating observers with its vibrant hues and luminous trails. Carlos Alcaraz Castrocorbera, from Corbera de Llobregat, seized the moment, capturing the celestial spectacle in all its glory.

Joining in the observation, David Molner from Sant Celoni, Barcelona, and Lina Aguasca from Sant Fost de Campsentelles also bore witness to the meteor's mesmerizing descent. Despite its stunning appearance, the meteor efficiently disintegrated at an altitude of 80 kilometers, a testament to the protective shield of our atmosphere against such cosmic intrusions.
