A giant panda gave a zookeeper a guilty look while sitting in a pile of sawdust after tearing apart its pillow.

The clip shows the protected animal holding the ripped pillowcase in its paws at the Quanzhou Haisi Wild AnimalsWorld in Fujian, China, on March 25.

It can then be seen twiddling its hind paws giving the zookeeper a puppy-eyes look after seemingly making amess by scattering the pillow's stuffing all over its enclosure.

The giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) is a bear species endemic to China, listed as 'Vulnerable' on IUCN's Red List of Threatened Species.

Estimated giant panda populations include about 1,800 individuals in the wild and another 600 in zoos and breeding centres around the world.

Their greatest threats include habitat loss due to human activities such as deforestation and fragmentation, as well as poaching and climate change affecting their bamboo food source.
