Ina tragic incident, two wildlife department officials were among four injured in a leopard attack in northern India Jammu and Kashmir.The incident took place in Fatehpora area, Ganderbal district on April 3.

Visuals showed the leopard attacking the forest officials while they were running to protect themselves. Another person beside him was seen protecting the victim by hitting the leopard with a stick.They somehow caught hold of the leopard and put them inside the cage. A leopard was reportedly spotted roaming in the area on Wednesday morning, prompting panic among the residents.The witnesses reported that the wildlife department officials were promptly informed. They further stated that the leopard attacked the wildlife department officials while they were in the process of setting a trap to capture the animal.The injured individuals, including a policeman, were transferred to the district hospital Ganderbal for medical treatment. Prior to this incident, a woman had also been injured by the same leopard.Following extensive efforts, the animal was successfully captured by rescue teams comprising personnel from the wildlife department, police, and forest protection force.
