Woman flees for life as massive 7.2 quake collapses building in Taiwan
A woman fled for life as a massive 7.2 quake collapsed a building in Taiwan.
The shocking CCTV footage was filmed in Hualien County on April 3. A woman in a white T-shirt, walking through the alley between the Hotel Les Champs and the Uranus building, completely unaware of the impending catastrophe.
As the building begins to crumble, the woman is seen sprinting away from the collapsing structure, narrowly escaping the debris and dust cloud racing towards her.
A Taiwanese host, Zhang Lingyu, taking to social media, shared the shocking surveillance video captured by her hotel’s first floor cameras.
According to reports, a powerful 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the county caused a 10-storey Uranus building to collapse. The ground floor shops of the building were tragically engulfed as the earth opened up, swallowing them whole in a terrifying display of nature's might.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
