A wild elephant checked out tourists' motorcycles parked outside their a traveller's inn in Thailand.

The jumbo wandered into the property from the nearby national park and sniffed around the two-wheelers in Nakhon Ratchasima province on February 14.

Footage shows the animal inspecting the handlebars and side mirrors of the motorcycles with its trunk.

The tourists were watching from behind the glass window of their accommodation as the elephant curiously searched their vehicles, but it did not damage anything and left.

As of 2023, there are an estimated 3,084-3,500 wild elephants in Thailand. The population has been increasing in recent years, but it is still a fraction of the estimated 300,000 wild elephants that lived in Thailand at the beginning of the 20th century.
