A surveillance camera captured the harrowing moments of the recent earthquake that struck New Jersey, leaving residents startled and shaken. Rachel Bendock, a Twitter user, shared the video recorded from her home in Summit, New Jersey, located just 30 miles from Lebanon, where the tremors were felt.

"Just crazy and my camera caught it. Felt like a train going thru my house!!" Bendock described the intense experience.

The earthquake, which registered a magnitude of 4.8, jolted residents across North Jersey on Friday morning, sending shockwaves as far as New York, Washington D.C., and Boston. The United States Geological Survey pinpointed the epicenter near Tewksbury, with the seismic event occurring precisely at 10:23 a.m.

In the aftermath of the initial quake, several aftershocks reverberated through the region. These included a magnitude 2.0 aftershock near Bedminster at 11:20 a.m., along with subsequent tremors near Whitehouse Station, Califon, and Chester, ranging from magnitudes 1.8 to 2.2.
