This is the impressive moment a volleyball player climbed underneath the roof of a gymnasium to retrieve stuck balls.

Dann Lei Pedralvez Subijano witnessed the athlete clambering up the metal bars of the gymnasium's ceiling in Mexico, Pampanga, the Philippines, on April 1.

Footage shows the player named Rene carefully moving towards the location of the stuck equipment, but her colleagues were able to dislodge the ball by hitting it with another volleyball.

The girl's efforts became unnecessary as they successfully retrieved the ball by striking it off.

Dann said: 'The girl player became impatient, which is why she climbed the bar just to get it. Sadly, her efforts were in vain.'
