Sons make birthday surprise for father with money hidden in umbrella
This is the heartwarming moment sons surprised their father with money hidden in an umbrella for his sixtieth birthday.
Windell Nanagas and his brother surprised their dad, Wilfredo R. Nanagas, with cash concealed inside an umbrella in their home in Tayabas, Quezon, the Philippines, on March 16.
Footage shows Wilfredo giving his birthday speech and expressing gratitude with his sons.
Moments later, they presented him with a blue umbrella and asked him to open it.
Upon opening it, he found 500-peso bills (approximately 7 GBP) dangling inside, totaling 60,000 pesos (approximately 840 GBP).
Windell, a school principal, and his brother had been saving since November last year to gift their father the cash.
He said: 'My father couldn't believe he would receive that amount, but as I said, his and Mum's sacrifices for us siblings to finish school wouldn't be in vain; if not for them, we wouldn't be where we are now.'
