A massive fireball scared people away after a vendor ignited hydrogen balloons during a conflict in northern China.

The dramatic video was filmed in Shenyang City in Liaoning Province on 6 April.

Two balloon vendors, locked in a fierce rivalry over turf and profits, reached a boiling point that led to an explosive confrontation. In a moment of anger, and perhaps ill-judged defiance, one of the vendors resorted to lighting one of the hydrogen balloons with a lighter, causing it to erupt into a massive fireball.

Witnesses described the moment as both shocking and terrifying, as the balloon's sudden transformation into a blazing orb sent people scattering in all directions, desperate to escape the unforeseen danger.

Miraculously, despite the chaos and the potential for disaster, no injuries were reported among the vendors or the bystanders.

The local police station has since taken charge of the investigation into this fiery incident.
